Reminder: Effective December 31, 2019 the Blackboard ProSites product will no longer be supported.
This serves as a reminder that on December 31, 2019, Blackboard ProSites will no longer be available for all Blackboard clients. As a part of our commitment to delivering a portfolio of high-quality products to help our clients thrive in a complex and changing educational environment, our team has completed a full assessment of what would be required to continue developing and supporting the Blackboard ProSites solution. We have determined that our teams and resources could better serve our clients by focusing in other areas or our portfolio, therefore, we have decided to discontinue support of the ProSites product in 2020.

Effective December 31, 2019 the Blackboard ProSites product will no longer be supported.
As a part of our commitment to delivering a portfolio of high-quality products to help our clients thrive in a complex and changing educational environment, our team has completed a full assessment of what would be required to continue developing and supporting the Blackboard ProSites solution. We have determined that our teams and resources could better serve our clients by focusing in other areas or our portfolio, therefore, we have decided to discontinue support of the ProSites product in 2020. Clients with perpetual licensing may opt to continue using Blackboard ProSites but Blackboard will no longer provide support for these products.

When will the Blackboard ProSites product no longer be available?
Effective December 31, 2018, new Blackboard ProSites agreements will no longer be approved by Blackboard representatives. Effective December 31, 2019, Blackboard ProSites will no longer be supported and potentially made unavailable to current users of the product.
When will support for Blackboard ProSites end?
Support for Blackboard ProSites will end in concurrence with the discontinue date, December 31, 2019.
How will current Blackboard ProSites clients be impacted?
- All current Blackboard ProSites client contracts with an expiration date beyond the End of Life date will be terminated on December 31, 2019.
- Any client with a Blackboard ProSites contract which expires prior to the end-of-life date will have the option to terminate their contract at that time OR renew their Blackboard ProSites license through the end of 2019 at a prorated amount.
- Termination of a client’s Blackboard ProSites contract does not impact the use or licensed agreement of other Blackboard products for which they are contracted.
What are transition options for current Blackboard ProSites clients?
Blackboard is happy to provide transition options for current Blackboard ProSites clients. These options include:
- A migration to the Blackboard Learn SaaS solution
- A migration to the Blackboard Open LMS solution
- A migration to the Blackboard CourseSites solution
