Blackboard Learn

Information:

Pearson has started transitioning their Blackboard integrations to LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability) 1.3/Advantage. As part of this effort it has been determined that starting on October 6th 2022 the migration tool used for Building Block to Partner Cloud will be deactivated.

What does this mean for me?

If you're planning to move to Partner Cloud, we encourage you to reach out to assess Pearson LTI 1.3 Advantage tool. For next steps, please consult your Pearson sales rep for timing on when to best make the switch to LTI 1.3 to minimize any student or faculty disruption.

Why is this change happening?

LTI 1.3 is the protocol that all integrations are moving to as it provides the strongest security and the best experience for end-users.  A Migration from Building Block to Partner Cloud is an unnecessary intermediary step; all customers should be planning to transition directly to Pearson LTI1.3 instead.

What if I'm already performing migrations?

Please reach out to our support team and coordinate migration timelines; your courses will need to be migrated before Oct 6th 2022 to avoid any negative impact. Afterwards no migrations will be possible from Building Block to Partner Cloud.
