Description: Screen readers, particularly NVDA fail to recognize the ‘Three Dots’ sub-menu within the Ultra Base Navigation courses section when viewed in ‘Tile view’.
This affects users who rely on screen readers for navigation and interaction.
Steps to Replicate: Prerequisite: Download and activate NVDA from NV Access.
- Log into Blackboard Learn Ultra Experience as an instructor
- Go to the Navigation left menu, select Courses and switch to Tile view
- Move the cursor to the Search your courses box
- Use the Tab key to cycle through page elements
- Attempt to focus on the Three Dots sub-menu for course options
Observed Behavior:
The screen reader does not recognize the ‘Three Dots’ sub-menu for course options, not allowing users to access its options.
Expected Behavior:
The screen reader announces the sub-menu and allows users to access its options.
