Description:
When a journal or discussion is created and then the grade category is changed, the icon will not change. Other grade items will change the icons.
Steps to Repeat:
- Log into Blackboard Learn Ultra Experience as an administrator
- Navigate to System Admin
- Create a new course
- Create an assignment, test, or form
- Change its grade category to any other one
- Save the changes and close the window
- Note that the icon changed to the new category that has been selected
- Create a Discussion or journal
- Click on grading, and make it gradable (click grade discussion/journal)
- Change its grade category
- Save the changes and close the window
Observed Behavior: The icon will not change to the new grade category.
Expected Behavior: The icon should change to the new grade category.
Information:
The behavior of this feature is intended. A discussion and journal will always be a discussion and journal by nature. Categories can be aligned to better manage them, like your "homework" is to participate in this discussion, but that doesn't mean the discussion is a discussion anymore.
