Blackboard is pleased to announce the availability of Hotfix 154 for Analytics for Learn that addresses customer request to add option for use of older logic for FactCourseStudentSummary.LastAccessDate calculation. This hotfix applies to Analytics for Learn versions 4.2 through 4.3.3.
This hotfix adds new variable into HEA.Global called “Last Access Date Mode”. This allows switching between transform logic that calculates LastAccessDate from FactCourseActivity and transform logic that calculates LastAccessDate from Source.COURSE_USERS – this transform logic was introduced in hotfix 129 for Analytics for Learn.
This new variable in HEA.Globals is in default set to “Learn Course Users”, which means that new way introduced with hotfix 129 will be used. If the old implementation is desired, this variable can be set to “Activity Calculation”, meaning the old implementation will be used.
- Execute the script in the SQL hotfix file corresponding to your product version in SQL Server Management Studio on the Analytics for Learn database (iBBLA).
After application of this hotfix, there will be new variable(row) in HEA.Global with name “Last Access Date Mode” and value set to “Learn Course Users”. This value can be changed to “Activity Calculation”, meaning that the next processing will apply transform logic that calculates LastAccessDate from FactCourseActivity instead of Source.COURSE_USERS.
- Appropriate knowledge of SQL Server to apply the hotfix script
The hotfix was made available on March 14, 2017.
