Information:

Blackboard continues to work with our EdTech partners to identify opportunities to ensure a continuity of education for our clients during these unprecedented times. Having identified that many Blackboard K-20 clients have already licensed G Suite for Education, we reached out directly to Google. Through our partnership with Google, we’ve integrated Google Meet in Blackboard Learn (both Original and Ultra Experiences), allowing users with a Google EDU account to create and share Google Meet links directly from any Blackboard Learn Course.

The following set of resources will offer guidance on this Google Meet session scheduler and how to plan and prepare during this challenging period:

  • A recent blog post offering guidance on the integration and key information on enabling it in your Learn environment
  • Visit our resource page for more information and guidance on how to plan and provide continuity of service at your institution.

The Google Meet for Blackboard Learn integration requires Blackboard Learn to be running on one of the following versions:
  • Blackboard Learn SaaS Continuous Delivery or Flexible Deployment Option
  • Blackboard Learn 9.1 Q4 2019 (3800.0.0) or higher
