When a user adds a simple (not advanced) adaptive release in a course with groups, with only one rule (review something -element or whatever you have in the course), membership criteria of "No user can satisfy this criterion" is added automatically.
Steps to Repeat:
  1. Log into Blackboard Learn as System Administrator
  2. Create a Course
  3. Enroll at least 2 users
  4. Add one or more Groups (it does not matter if the Group has any members)
  5. Create 2 items
  6. Within the second item open Adaptive Release > Scroll all the way down and select Content Review
  7. Set this item to = the first item you created
  8. Submit
  9. Enter the second item again
  10. Open Adaptive Release Advanced
Expected Behavior:
Only the membership criteria has been added.

Observed Behavior:
The membership criteria has been added with:
  • 'Membership:  No user can satisfy this cirterion.  This rule won't provide access to this content for any users.

Access Advanced Adaptive Release and remove the unwanted rule.
