How do I enable the Collaborate with the Ultra experience in my SAS account?

If you are an SAS Enterprise License customer that is hosted in any of our datacenters and would like to enable Collaborate in your SAS account you can  following the steps below to request access.  Customers hosted in our Calgary datacenter will have the ability to request access later this summer.

Blackboard Collaborate Administrators need to open a case in Behind the Blackboard. To open a case, you will need to select your Web Conferencing Environment, and make the following selections:

Issue Topic = Ultra Experience

Functional Area = Request Collaborate with the Ultra Experience

Important Notes: If you enable Collaborate with the Ultra experience in your SAS account please be aware that you will have parallel access to both the Ultra experience interface and the Collaborate Classic View interface.  This will allow you to switch between either version as needed to best meet any of your specific use cases.  Parallel access is available individually for each user that schedules sessions in your account.  Once Collaborate with the Ultra experience has been enabled, some users maybe using the Ultra experience while the remaining users continue to use our Collaborate Classic View. 

At this time the new Collaborate, featuring our new Ultra experience, can only be scheduled through the SAS (Session Administration System) with an Enterprise License. Moderator Access, vClass and vOffice customers will not have access to the Ultra experience initially. LMS integrations are underway and will be available at a later date.

How do I switch my experience

Switch between the Original and Ultra experiences of Collaborate any time with just one click!

  • If you are in the Ultra experience, select Back to the Original experience (Collaborate V12)
  • If you are in the Original experience, select Back to Collaborate Ultra experience

Important Note:  Bookmark the experiences to return to them any time!

You can also select the banner on the User Login page to check out the new Collaborate scheduling experience.

How do I create and edit Collaborate with the Ultra experience sessions?

Important Note: When logging into the SAS as a Manager, you will not see the User-added imageicon to create a Collaborate with the Ultra experience session. Sessions can only be created when logged in the SAS as a Administrator or Supervisor..
 

How do I launch my Collaborate session with the Ultra experience?

Can I report on my Collaborate with the Ultra experience sessions?

On the SAS Reports tab, Ultra View meetings have been added to the Categories. The reports will function exactly as they did before. Ultra View will have session attendance as well.
