May 24, 2017 Updates:

Blackboard is pleased to announce the availability of an updated Enterprise Building Block, version 4.8.1177273 for the Collaborate 9.1 October 2014 CU7 (9.1.201410.1178152) release.

Supported Platforms and Upgrade Paths

The Enterprise B2 V4.8.1177273 is available to Blackboard Learn Course Delivery clients who also license Blackboard Collaborate Enterprise or the Learning Essentials solutions bundle (or higher), and are on the recently released Collaborate 9.1 October 2014 CU7 (9.1.201410.1178152).
 
The Building Block will be available through the Software Updates section of the Learn Admin Console.  If you wish to download and install  now you can do so from Behind the Blackboard.

May 17, 2017 Updates:

Blackboard has released Collaborate Enterprise Building Block, version 4.9.1177691.  This new version was created to ensure that clients are unable to install the Building Block on unsupported versions.  Please be aware of the following information:

  • You will no longer be able to install Collaborate Enterprise Building Block, version 4.9.1177691 on unsupported Learn versions.
  • If you have already successfully installed 4.9.1177690 you do NOT need to upgrade to 4.9.1177691.
Blackboard Support would also like to inform you that 4.8.1177272 will not be updated until we release 9.1 Q4 2014 CU7.  If you have any questions please submit a case in Behind the Blackboard.


May 12, 2017 Updates and Corrections:

Please be aware that Blackboard has had to recall Collaborate Enterprise Building Block, version 4.8.1177272 due to a dependency on the upcoming release of CU7.  Our Collaborate Enterprise Building Block, version 4.9.1177690 is still available but please ensure you are using the correct CU version. 

  • The updated Building Block is available to Blackboard Learn Course Delivery clients who also license Blackboard Collaborate Enterprise or the Learning Essentials solutions bundle (or higher), and are using Blackboard Learn, 9.1 Q4 2015 CU3 Release (Build: 9.1.201510.1176878).
  • If Collaborate Enterprise Building Block, version 4.8.1177272 has already been installed, it will need to be rolled back to the previous version (4.8.1175439). If you require assistance, please open a case on Behind the Blackboard.

  • Eliminated Oracle limitation of 1000 elements in “in" SQL statements
  • Session room creation date and time is no longer displayed as start date and time of the recording
  • Link to Collaborate Ultra recording via Mashup no longer missing Domain Name
  • System admin now able to see restricted course room in Ultra experience course
  • Duplicate Course Rooms no longer cause instructor and students to end up in separate rooms
  • Instructors added to a session after creation are now automatically made Moderators in an Ultra Course Room
  • Collaborate Original session does not fail when 1000+ participants enroll
  • Resolved issues with guest links that resulted in a blank white screen and no way to start a session

Important:

Direct upgrades to these releases are supported from Building Block versions 4.3 or greater.  Clients on older versions of the Building Block will need to upgrade to 4.3 minimally before installing this update.

The Building Block will be available through the Software Updates section of the Learn Admin Console after May 8, 2017.  If you wish to download and install  now you can do so from Behind the Blackboard using the link below.
