Information:

Description

In order to join a Blackboard Collaborate Original session, users must download and launch a .collab file. Some users have reported that the following error occurs when attempting to launch the .collab file.

line3743 (file”c:\program files (x86) \live class connect wizard\bbaudiohelper.exe”):
error: subscript used on non-accessible variable


When this error occurs, users are unable to proceed to their Collaborate session.

Solution

This error can occur when the .collab file extension has become associated with the bbaudiohelper.exe program on a Windows computer rather than the Blackboard Collaborate Launcher application or Java Web Start.

To resolve the error, the file association must be corrected. Instructions to do so can be found via the article below:
